Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, self-starting and ambitious construction site supervisor with strong foundation and geotechnical experience to join the Shinei team.

Site supervisors will be responsible for managing site operations, including the understanding and implementation of various construction techniques such as earthworks, bored piles, micro piles, caisson piles and retaining wall systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and implement various construction techniques such as earthworks, piling, foundation works, slope stabilisation and retaining walls.
  • Proactively managing selected site operations or components of projects
  • Ability to rally operators and workers to foster effective team environment
  • Ensure quality assurance of output of operators and workers
  • Ensure health & safety standards of operators and workers are met
  • Being familiar, compliant and able to undertake duties under the relevant regulations and to promote culture of awareness within the team
  • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure satisfactory deliverable
  • Ensure effective internal communication with all involved parties
  • Implement work programme to ensure production is on schedule
  • Proactively communicate with clerk of work to update progress on workmanship, quality and safety of job.
  • Daily communication with Site Engineers and Operations Manager to identify potential issues such as material wastages or equipment breakdowns that may lead to delays.
  • Prepare honest, accurate and timely documentation of site diary
  • Proactively manage safety and security of site assets
  • Ability to get involved in the full life cycle of project from before site possession to completion of project.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in construction
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and methods related to foundations and geotechnical work
  • Experience managing site operations and construction projects
  • Have strong capacity to learn and desire for personal growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Able to provide excellent client service
