Underpinning of Bungalow

Just as the owner was about to take possession of their newly build home, they discovered cracks appearing on their property.

Further investigation revealed that one of the column required some underpinning works.

Fortunately ground conditions were quite good.

Micropile underpinning were installed up to depths of 6 meters. A portable drilling rig was used in the confined space of a bungalow.

Additional reinforcements and dowel bars were installed under the column.

Underpinning was completed successfully and the cracks in the building were repaired.
