Shinei Geotechnique (M) Sdn Bhd is founded by Ir Tan Chin Shu in 1989. Shinei was founded as part of Shinei Group of companies.

Shinei Geotechnique Sdn Bhd specialise in unique and challenging foundation and geotechnical works. We have been pioneers in the Malaysian geotechnical engineering works, leading the way in bringing new techniques and technology to our market.

With over three decades of existence, Shinei has a track record of hundreds of prestigious projects including Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Commonwealth Games Villages at Bukit Jalil and Lebuhraya Damansara - Puchong Highway (LDP).

Shinei has worked on a number of Malaysian records including the largest circular cofferdam project in Malaysia a Sewerage Treatment Plant in Papan, Perak, as well as the highest piling foundation works in Malaysia at Grand Ion Delemen, Hotel in Genting Highlands.

Tan Chin Shu

Shinei Geotechnique is founded by Ir Tan Chin Shu.

Tan Chin Shu is a Geotechnical Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in foundation and geotechnical engineering industry and founding Director of Shinei Geotechnique. He is a Professional Engineer, and Member of the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Chin Shu obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering at UMIST University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and MSc in Foundation Engineering at University of Birmingham.

In 1989, Chin Shu founded Shinei Geotechnique Sdn Bhd as part of the Shinei group of companies. Chin Shu has led all manner of geotechnical projects including governmental, commercial and residential buildings as well as highways, bridges, railway, and power plants.

Chin Shu started his career as a consultant at Kemas Consult. He was engineering manager at L&M Geotechnics before becoming the first Regional Director of Bauer Far East Malaysia. Chin Shu was a Director at Pintaras Jaya Sdn Bhd. Chin Shu also founded Material Testing Lab.
