Job Description:

The Store Manager is responsible for managing the company's inventory, equipment, tools, consumables and materials to ensure efficient operations across all projects.

The role ensures that every asset is properly recorded, maintained, traceable and available when required while minimizing loss, wastage and unnecessary purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Store Management

  • Receive, inspect and record incoming materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure the store and yard remain clean, organised and safe.

Tools & Equipment Control

  • Issue and receive tools, machinery and equipment for project use.
  • Track asset locations, users and return status.
  • Inspect equipment condition and coordinate repairs or servicing when required.
  • Maintain a complete and up-to-date asset register.

Materials & Logistics

  • Prepare and issue construction materials to project sites.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and returns.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to minimise project delays.
  • Support efficient yard and warehouse operations.

Documentation & Digital Records

  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements, delivery orders, material issue forms and asset information.
  • Keep digital inventory systems updated with real-time information.
  • Support data-driven decision making through accurate reporting.

Procurement & Cost Control

  • Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment before shortages occur.
  • Assist the procurement team with inventory planning and supplier coordination.
  • Promote the reuse of materials and equipment where practical to reduce costs and minimise waste.

Maintenance & Compliance

  • Coordinate scheduled servicing, inspections and calibration of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements and asset management standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency and operational processes.
  • Support Shinei's vision of becoming a technology-focused, data-driven geotechnical contractor through disciplined asset and information management.

Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Logistics
  • Business Administration
  • Engineering
  • Construction Management
  • or equivalent experience

Experience
Preferred:
2–5 years in:

  • Construction
  • Engineering
  • Geotechnical
  • Manufacturing
  • Heavy equipment
  • Experience managing construction materials and equipment is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Excel / Words
  • Inventory management systems
  • Basic purchasing knowledge
  • Basic equipment identification
  • Basic construction material knowledge
